Use Magic Camera to record webcam video |
|
See screenshot below, there is a 'Record' button on MagicCamera main
window. After being clicked, it will start video recording automatically and bring
out the recording configuration dialog. The video recorded is exactly the same as
what you see in the preview window, which means you can use this button to record
webcam videos, screen activities and the video effects.
Recommended configurations for recording: 1. By default, Magic Camera uses Xvid MPEG-4 Codec to compress the recorded video. If Xvid MPEG-4 Codec is not listed in the drop box, it means you need to install the KLite Mega pack or Xvid pack. See our links page and Xvid Page for more details. 2. You can also clear the 'compress video' check box to get the un-compressed avi file. However, this option will result a huge video file, about several Giga bytes per minutes. So we do Not recommend it. 3. To record audio as well as webcam video, check the 'include audio' button and select your microphone in the audio source drop box. If you need to record 'what u hear' sounds instead of microphone voice, please install our Virtual Audio Streaming software. Important Notice: If you record both video and audio, please keep the video encoder as Xvid MPEG-4 Codec. Don't use other codecs such as mjpeg, wmv, etc. Those codecs may cause audio-video unsync in the recorded avi file.
